Joan has been singing most of her life!
She started out singing as a group with her family. She got the itch to perform live as soon as she was old enough to hit the club scene. She has been in several bands including Pheonix, Crosswind, Jagged Edge, Frenzy and Drama Queen. She also subs for several bands in the Twin Cities which has expanded her music repertoire greatly!
Christa has been singing her whole life-- non-stop!
So much so that her parents had to make a special rule: "No singing at the table!"
A choral singer since grade school, Christa has dabbled in all kinds of musical performance, from professional choirs like the Saint Olaf Cantorei and the Twin Ports Choral Project, to weddings, funerals, and private events.
Since she loves to sing wherever she goes, Christa is especially thrilled to be singing with Music Junkies.
TK's Bio
TK is originally from the Gulf Coast but moved at a young age to San Diego, California. While most students in his 9th grade woodshop were building skateboards. TK was attempting to build his first bass. When a guitar playing friend saw this TK was asked to play in his garage band. He convinced his dad to buy him a bass and amp so he could be in the band! To this day that desire to make music, perform and be around other musicians has never faltered.
TK performed extensively in original and cover rock bands in San Diego and L.A. for over 20 years. After moving back to the Gulf Coast he worked with several regionally popular rock and variety bands. A coast band founded by TK won the coveted Budweiser True Music competition based on their original music demo and live show. He performed in support of their multiple original full length releases for nearly six years.
Having relocated to Minnesota just a few years ago TK is happy to be performing with the very talented group of experienced pros in Music Junkies. And thankful for the continued opportunity to pursue his lifelong passion of playing music and entertaining crowds of all sizes and ages!
Ted is no stranger to the band/music business
About a year after he got his first acoustic guitar at age 15 his friend Steve asked if he would be interested in stopping over to check out his electric guitar setup. Steve was putting together a band and the keyboard player they had lined up backed out (typical!!). After hearing Ted play he asked if he would be interested in joining.
Ted immediately borrowed some money from his mom and mail-ordered an electric guitar and amp, and the rest is history. His experience now spans decades in both part-time and full-time road bands, with literally thousands of shows to his credit.
For over 25 years Ted has acted as leader, musician, sound engineer, and marketing and sales director for his bands. In addition to lead guitar, Ted has also played bass guitar and keyboards in previous projects.
Ted has a day gig as an electrical engineer/ programmer and is also a certified professional wedding and portrait photographer.
Mark Bio
Mark has been playing the drums from the young age of 6. He has played in many successful original as well as cover bands in the 80's through the 2000's while living in San Jose California. He has been been a part in recording 4 albums and toured the west coast in the early 90's.
Mark moved to MN in 2010, and has been in some great local bands including Black Water Alley, Border Patrol, Cahoots and most recently Heroes End to name a few. Some of Mark's influences growing up were John Bonham, Niel Peart, Ansley Dunbar and Tommy Aldridge.
